Coffee, anyone?

Can anyone suggest a good brand of coffee powder? Those which you just put in a perculator.

I am thinking of getting my dad some good, aromatic coffee for Father's day but have no idea where to start! Anyone?

Yup, but that was quite sometime back. Which type of coffe does your dad drink now? Maybe it's easier to zoom down the selection based on his current choice? I'm saying this because a colleague who loves thick coffee hates Starbuck. So, coffee is like perfume. YMMV :)

I agree! My dad is not taking any branded coffee now. He likes strong coffee, minus the sour acidic taste. Oh, and the "after-effect" on the tongue must be comfortable too. We cannot stand those which seems to leave a thick felt-like layer on the tongue :P

Christmas Blend from Starbucks was a huge disappointment. I was thinking along the line of Spinellis since their coffee *seems* to be richer.

i actually like local malaysian coffee
best if their beans are fried with butter

Those gotten from coffee-shops or provision shops is it? I think my parents are taking that now. Just feel like getting something different for them. :)

I supposed u can try those customised coffee shops?
They might have choices u can mix and match.
Dont quote me though, cos I havent buy coffee in Singapore for a long long time. :P

Bought 2 different blends from Spinellis last night. Lets hope they are good :) I was pretty intoxicated by the coffee aroma last night though when I left the packets on my dinning table! lol
