It's always been my experience that it's easier to exist than to not exist. Indeed, I'd expect the Vatican to take this line, since if we ever meet aliens who know how not to, it'll leave us feeling pretty inferior!

Imagine how useful that would be at meetings!

When I read that article on YM Insider I said, "There is hope for the Catholic Church."

I am not surprised in the least that he's a Jesuit.

i recall having a conversation with a group of loacl and foreign Jesuits up in the Observatory on campus in ateneo when i was a student there (obviously a loooooooong way back,and yeah,their unofficial bet's on marvin the martian's existence. also personally advocate vs. the current church's stances on birth control and major issues,ad nauseum,etc but of course would never come out in public with them for fear of losing cushy tenures.

personally i think most of the Vatican's inhabitants are aliens, considering their utter out-of-touchness with this planet and the human condition
