Absolutely fantastically boring so far; at least to tell about. I'm been enjoying playing my new computer game waaaay too much (Oblivion). Tomorrow and the rest of the week I'll be attacking my work load though

Sounds like your trip has started being less stressful? Well, at least more interesting.

Due to boredom and wireless internet while watching TV, I researched pottery wheels and it seems that they average around $1000 with table top ones (small) running around $350.

Lastly, chicha de maiz is something along the lines of corn punch, right? Given that it's brewed, is it alcoholic or non-alcoholic?

Sorry for all the questions, hope you are having fun.

Only $1000, eh? Wait...THAT's why I didn´t know you could "just buy" potting wheels. Thanks for checking into that for me. Someday, over the rainbow...

The first time I had chicha de maiz, all I could think about was how gosh darn sweet it was. But it ferments quickly, so I found out why. Otherwise, chicha here is like punch. I had lemonade that was called chicha de limon, and orange juice that was called chicha de naranja--all you need for chicha is fruit, sugar, and water. Mmm. Chicha.

I am having more fun, thanks for asking. It´s good to get out of Panamá City, home of noise, cars, ridiculous heat, and lots of people trying to go everywhere at once. I´ve discovered the secret to being a good driver here: honk every time you pass anything that moves. If you don´t honk before you pass a car or an intersection, chances are there´ll be an accident. People
here don´t care much for looking before they leap.
*cough* Anyway...like I said, I am having more fun. :)

Dani, it sounds like you are just soaking in all the sounds and sights and smells! Your description of diet reminds me of when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Liberia....I ate whatever was available, and I never thought about gaining weight...the lifestyle was so different! And, if you want a pottery wheel for Christmas, let us know and Santa may be able to bring you one!

And the Jelousy ensues. I'll have to keep a tally on how many times you need to be punched when you get back ;).

Spring break? Oh do I have stories to tell. I'm still tired from driving for 24 hours straight, the tires on my car are completely bald, and i'm single again. Despite all the troubles, Washington is awesome....worthy of spending a few years of my life in.
