And we're talking about the computers first. I think I need to get an external hard-drive, for the purposes of backups, because my computer is getting old and grumbly, and it quite literally froze some twenty minutes ago. I have everything prior to last February? on a DVD (I think it was when Madison's computer freaked out for the first time, and I got worried since we have the same one), and then the stuff from then to May or so on a CD, so it's really only the stuff from this summer that's an issue.

Of course, there is a decent amount of that.

I have a Smartdisk 120 GB Firelite external hard drive, but I'm looking to purchase a new external hard drive because my new computer has twice as much storage as that. But it's really portable. I'd also look and see if your University has a computer store and see what they'd recommend.
My dad has a My Book external hard drive, and he seems pretty happy with it.

Also, shakkan!

Also, asking the computer store is a good idea. And that's a lot of storage.
