a. Laurea was originally just Sev's ex-girlfriend, who had far too much talent for getting them both in trouble. Somewhere in the midst of the chaos that was the end of last semester I realized that she was a far stronger (in the sense of force of personality) character than Sev was, and besides, she'd disappeared. Which clearly makes her interesting. And I was having all sorts of trouble getting Sev to make coherent sense in my head
