One thought I find depressing: way things are, there's gonna be a time down the line where we look back and think 'well, that Tony Blair guy wasn't so bad after all...'

And is it unethical to complain about the result of an election if you don't vote, but only because you were prevented from voting by registration details not arriving in time?

I remind you of my opinion: if left unable to vote in an election due to the law as writ and not your own actions, then you have just as much right to whine about the outcome as the voters.

Hence why I don't find it hypocritical to whine about Bush still being president when I couldn't vote. Not that it mattered, since my vote would have been in the majority for where I used to live in the US.
