So the past couple of days have been very good for Xerxes (knock on wood.)  
The latest developments:

They started him on another round of steroids.  This seems to have helped the inflamation in his trachea, and is agreeing with him greatly, as he's barely de-satted at all in the past couple days, and when he does (usually during cares) not very far
