I heard several reviews talking about what a great action movie this is, a visual treat for the eyes, strong women, etc. I've also heard repeatedly that there is no storyline whatsoever. Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, but I'm just curious....in your opinion, is there an actual developed story?

The story... is complicated. Max's storyline IS a little weak. However, if you're following the other characters, it's a rescue story, with a side of redemption/finding your worth. I'm not saying it's the strongest of plots, but it's definitely more developed than a lot of other action movies' stories.
