I wasn't aware that it was the highest turnout. Interesting, and good to hear.

Usually we have 50-60 ballots go out. I think last years 68 was the previous high mark.

And with good reason... not one, but two contested elections. John probably wouldn't have made it to vote if not for the contested positions.

Like I said yesterday, the ONLY reason I even showed up was because of the contested elections. I even had the InLaws at my house and said "dudes, gotta leave, democracy in action!"

I defenitely think I'm not the only person who felt that this was a very important election for MISFITS.

No matter the results, I'm really happy that so many people came out to vote.

In case this hasn't been discussed before, the MISFITS election rules specify that a runoff election is to occur if there are three or more candidates, and nobody receives a majority.

I suggest that instant runoff voting be used in this case so that everybody doesn't have to vote again.
