Emmeline was going to visit him, just as she'd said she would. It had been a few days, after all. She thought she could behave for him. She thought perhaps she could smile for him, like she'd promised. She hoped she could.
It had not taken her too long to figure out where the house was, but she was hesitant about approaching it. Would that girl be there? She really didn't ever want to meet Arietta. It wasn't an encounter she thought she could handle well. For all that she was a lady, that girl made her so furious she could barely stand it. And she had promised Cain she would be good...
Sighing to herself, Emmeline walked quietly towards the house. Maybe he wasn't even there. She rather thought she'd prefer it if he wasn't.
