What: Bringing Emmeline to Ryou to take care of her; reuniting with Riff; general fluff and angst

It wasn't that it was such a long trip. It was that Emmeline was exhausted. They'd gotten from Cain allowing her to walk on her own to Cain holding her arm carefully to Cain letting her lean on his arm to Cain giving up and wrapping an arm around her waist to support as much of her weight as possible. She was disturbingly light. Then again, that's how the women were meant to be, back home.
The house came into sight. Cain paused briefly to gather the young lady properly against his side, casting a golden-eyed look at her face, quiet and intense.
"We're nearly there. You've got to promise me you'll sleep, Emmeline. Long and well. Your beauty wilts when you're so tired."
They'd have to do something about the bruises too, of course... Cain shuddered to think of them, to think of Marik pressing them and making her writhe, to think of Marik touching her at all... His grip tightened on her unconciously. Perhaps he didn't love her properly. It didn't stop him from feeling completely possessive of her.
