Tamaki stared at the cards that Kyouya held in front of him, one by one. Left to right and back, his eyes carefully studied each one, having lost for the umpteenth time now. Without realizing it, the expression on his face exhibited one of frustration as well as a hint of sadness. His outside demeanor made it seem like everything was all right, but in truth, on the inside, he simply... ached. The King couldn't understand it. Why he felt so empty despite having his best friend before him. He most certainly appreciated Kyouya accepting his idea of testing out this commoner game called "old maid" to introduce at their next club event but something still didn't feel right.
She wasn't here.
The second from the right. No no no. The middle one. Ah, he couldn't think feeling like this. Tamaki let out a deep sigh as he gave a slight pout. After a moment, he gave a devious smile before calling his friend's name almost to seduce the boy as imaginary petals fell behind him.
"Kyouya... Ah, ha!" He quickly snatched the one all the way on the left only for his mouth to drop to the ground. Darkness hovered his head, he sulked to his misfortune of picking the old maid out of his friend's hand. Mother was too good at this.
