Well, I have had a very eventful couple of weeks. My 21st was on Saturday night which was really really fun. I will probably put some photos on here when I can be bothered. Everyone dressed up (was Quentin Taratino theme) and seemed to have a really good time. I had so much fun and didn't throw up! That is a good accomplishment for a 21st so yay! ( Read more... )

I know how cool does it look there? And they have all different sorts of bats I've never seen before! Yeah I think I would like to do a PhD one day but I'm only 21 and have never worked full time or travelled overseas by myself or worked in the field of research apart from at uni so I think I'll be waiting a while before I become a Doctor! Plus I would want to do a bat project so I'd probably have to do it somewhere other than Adelaide. Are you going to do one after honours?

I still haven't decided about the Phd. I really want to do one at some stage. My honours supervisor has a really awesome Phd Project lined up for me, working with awesome people. And I would hate to let him down, or loose such an awesome project. But, I don't know if I'm ready to be a doctor yet, just like you said. I'm still so young and feel like I don't know anything yet, let only enough to be considered an expert in my field.

Ideally, I'd love to get a research assitant or a lab tech job for a few years first before going on to a Phd. And plus I really want to travel!
