Would have been nice to see you.

We were hoping to convince you guys and the Arcoss couplet to come to Outback... we even brought Elizabeth's jen vest with all the Outback pins. Of course, it makes her weigh in at a 10 extra pounds...

I have no legs to stand on...no fingers to point...no moral high ground.

Stitch, DC.

I didn't buy much...really. And all the yarn was sock yarn, technically.

Schaefer sock yarn. And :cough: Lorna's Laces.

And then there were the rosewood needles.

Sigh.

I was on vacation. My resistance was low. And the yarn was ridiculously beautiful.

Glad you had fun with RH! Wish I'd been there as Satan's Minion.

I had rosewood needles in my basket at Knitch. They were lovely. And smooth. And they would have knit up everything I had SO nicely. But I put them back, since I was already spending an unmentionable amount of money on cashmere. :D

I really really want to try Lorna's Laces sometime. Especially since I just joined the Mystery Stole III group. >.< I'm knitting with some stash merino though. :D

the cashmere is Very Nice - soft soft soft, and pretty colors.

Maybe when I grow up I will be able to knit well enough that I can spends gobs of green on soft fluffiness and knit something really nice with it.

However - No More Yarn for YOU!!!!! (shakes crappy cheapo needles menacingly ) :D

speaking of knitpicks - I'm thinking about ordering from them. I'm into lacy scarfs, starting on socks... any recommendations?

also.. need advice on needles...

I'm using the laceweight merino right now for the mystery stole. I love it. :) It knits up really nicely. :) I've also used alpaca cloud, and I really like that. For socks, my favourite yarn is cascade fixation. I love that stuff!! I've used Knitpicks "Dancing" and it's not bad at all, but they don't have it in all the colours they used to, I think. I do eitehr socks on 2 circs (definitely a nice method!) or 4 DPNs, depending on my mood and how portable it needs to be; I use bamboo needles for all those - my DPNs are Brittneys, and my circs are addi Turbos, although I have some bamboo circs too. I forget which brand. :/

And remember, sock yarn doesn't count as stash enhancement. I'm just sayin...
