Call Centre madness

"Standard Bank - Inspired, Motivated, Involved"? "Out of reach" is more like it. Try meeting a consultant at your local branch, and then getting in touch with that person again. Wednesday I spent 45 minutes at Standard Bank Musgrave branch waiting to be seen to, just to get my replacement bank card. I was just glad that I arrived when I did as the queue before me was only 2 people deep. Had I arrived 10 minutes later, during the lunch hour rush, I would have joined a queue 8 people long. Let's see, a queue of length 2 takes 45 minutes... hmmm... some 1st year computer science knowledge of queues tells us that in this LILO queue the last person in the queue would have only been seen to AFTER the banks closed at 3.30! Now that's service for you!

I could rant forever about Standard Bank, but that's enough for now.
