I fell off for the first time at Earlham this morning during team practice. We were cantering, which I hate doing on Crockett because he always goes too fast, and I'm not really all that good at canterng anyway because I haven't done much cantering since May. Are you alright? I love horses, but trotting scares me. I'm always afraid I'll fall off.

Laura, I love you dearly, but I feel you have missed the point to this entry. Of course I am fine because it was not a bad fall. At. All. I just hated looking like an idiot in front of several people (who have all probably been riding their whole lives) because I couldn't control the horse.

Although, come to think of it, I've heard Christopher Reeves said he was fine too, until the next day when he woke up and couldn't feel his toes, so I'll let you know.

No, I didn't miss that part, but I was alarmed by the fact that you fell off a horse. Usually that's not considered a good thing. I was concerned for your safety, and still am. Wow, I sound like a parent...oops. About the humilation part...shit happens. I know that's cliche and all, but it's true. As long as you don't stop riding forever and never try again, you'll be good.

Yea, let me know about tomorrow...be sure to wiggle your toes!

How was Margaret Cho? I hear she's amazing.
