Purple hair....

This is a random observation of mine of late. Reviewing the anime/manga I've been reading and so on and so forth, I've come to the startling conclusion that I have an uncanny attraction for blue/purple haired characters ( Read more... )

Heheh, snap!

Well, not entirely.

My fixation appears to be on guys with blonde/silver hair.

Chichiri (manga version), Quatre, Kakashi, Kira, Ichimaru, Alec, Hikitsu, Ayame, Watari, the list goes on.

^-^

My friend also likes to point out that many of those either have or look like they have only one eye or do something weid with their eyes ^-^'

Hehe :D An eye and a hair fetish, huh...?

(Though a lot of artwork has ChiChi with reddish hair...right??)

By the way, Kira is growing on me immensely.

This is, admittedly, largely thanks to the hilarious role he plays in the Saien musical, because the guy who plays him is really funny.

But even so, he's gone way up in my estimation of late. (And he's blond, so there's hope for me yet XD)

Aparently XD
(I think so XD But I'm sure Watase-sensei said somewhere he was blonde...)

*squeals* Eiki-kun!
Drat, now you've made me dig my Burimyu icons out XD
*giggles* Eiki is fantastic in the musicals and has a really nice voice for the songs too ^-^ Personally, my favourite part with him is the drunken Kira bit at the end of No Clouds ^-^
Though he is insufferably cute in both Bankai shows ^-~

Yay :D Once you work yourself round to the latest chapters your impression of him may change anyway. I shant say any more but...

I'm read up to date. I rather like the cold ruthlessness he's started to put about, though I also worry a little about him too because he's obviously been scarred by Ichimaru.

More than any character right now I'd like Kira to make bankai. Reason? I want him to take out Gin himself. That would be an excellent conclusion to the whole thing :S

Saien is the only musical I've seen so far, since it was the only DVD I've managed to afford. I know they're on YouTube but I'd rather have them and watch them properly, so so far I've not watched anything online.

Maybe when my pay rise finally kicks in and I get my backpay I'll be able to track the others down. Kitamura Eiki definitely steals the show. The whole scene in Saien with him, Renji, Hinamori and "Shiro-chan" is classic :S

It might just be a colour preference thing, at the end of the day. My room is purple and pink at the moment, so...:S

Red seems to be the least appealing for me for the most part. I always wondered what it was about Inori that semi-annoyed me...

Hey, did I imagine it or is HaruToki vol 15 out next month..?

I don't think I really do, actually. I tend to gravitate more towards certain character *types* than anything else. "Layered" (or as I like to call them, "Cheerful-on-the-outside-badass-on-the-inside") and "anti-hero" tend to be my favorites, I guess. A lot of those types have lighter hair colors (blues, grays, etc.), so I probably have a higher frequency of those, but it's more coincidence than anything else.

Yeah...hair colour aside, I always seem to gravitate towards anti-hero types, or the types who don't say a lot outwardly but have complexities going on beyond. Which really explains Yasuaki, I think :D

I *do* like Yasuaki. ^_^ He was really the only character in HaruToki who genuinely interested me.

Yasuaki was the HaruToki character I was drawn to straight away and that really hasn't changed (he's too cute at times, especially in the manga) and Yorihisa is the other one I became attached to (he's so manuke in such a cute way, it's sort of impossible not to).

Manga is probably better than the anime though...

I think it's the history grad in me too, though - I really like anime in historical mediaevalish settings, even if they're in foreign countries. Heian Japan is kinda interesting, and especially in later HaruTokis where you have characters who are based on real people. At the end of the day I'm a geek over stuff like that ;)
