reminds me in a strange way of ruskin bond's he said it with arsenic. the cruelty of nurses that is. the thing is if you are in a hospital you notice that the doc always plays the good cop and the nurse plays the bad cop. it is almost always the case across hospitals. i think it is years of playing the bad cop that does it to them.
Armies like Hospitals have a dual hierarchy of sorts. An enlisted man - by and large - would never get commission. At the far end of his career, he would probably be a Non-commissioned officer and one of the most senior person in the battalion. However, that person may have to operate under the command of a junior commissioned officer - possibly fresh off training. Similarly, the most senior and experienced nurse might know better but would probably follow what a junior doctor recommends. I wonder what these people think.
