pick a celestial object, any celestial object

The interesting thing about the changing of the moons size is that its largely an optical illusion. For some reason, having the moon down lower to the horizon where there are objects you can use to more properly measure the size of it, it will appear much larger. If we ever put a proper yard stick in space, I wonder if that would make the moon always appear that large.

Largely, though not entirely, right? When you're viewing the moon straight above you, you're looking through a relatively thin layer of atmosphere. When you're viewing the moon at the horizon, you're looking through a lot more atmosphere, and through refraction or whatever, it appears larger.

I've only been able to lucid dream a handful of times, and it never seems like anything in my control, really. The dream will be completely wacky and nonsensical, yet I think nothing of it. Then something akin to a deja vu feeling happens, and suddenly I realize it's a dream and I begin trying to direct what happens. But invariably the dream will end at that point, and my adventure in a completely self-controlled fantasy world will end.
