I remember Max's post about the concept of "bifurcation moments" when you can point to a major, life-changing result from what seemed like a simple decision. You would not be here on the planet if I had not decided to skip my planned visit (as a Harper & Row textbook rep)to a community college in New Jersey and instead went to La Salle College in Philadelphia in March of 1978.

One can celebrate this concept by watching the movie "Sliding Doors" with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Silly me, I had not looked at the title of your post. Anyway, I don't remember who Max credited for the term, but it's perfect.
