Geez, I can't think of a better title. A Chinese restaurant chef and his mother's oncologist, characters from a novel I started last summer. I really needed a study break and couldn't think of anything better to do.
Summary: Just when a young Chinese immigrant decides to open his own restaurant in New York, he discovers his mother has ovarian cancer, his ex-boss wants his head on a plate, and his brother has just arrived in America... illegally. To top it all off, he finds himself falling in love with his mother's oncologist, a shy insomniac neo-hippie who paints in his spare time.
