Had to run Cadence, our 10 year old male GSD/Beagle cross to the vet yesterday. Over the last week he's developed shortness of breath and has lost his appetite. Also had a growth on his neck that has receded ( Read more... )

Sorry for the CHF troubles, but hey-the symptoms are under control now and that's the best you can hope for. Maybe they'll stay that way for a good while. You never know. Hang in there!

Awesome dogs! Can't they do some tests? Our border collie Shelby just had a non cancerous tumor removed a couple of weeks ago. It looked oddly like a shrimp. Vet wouldn't let me keep it.

Looks like it was the Congestive heart failure. After several days worth of drug therapy, we've got the old Cadence back. He's his usual goofy pain in the arse self.

He tires a bit quicker but we can deal with that. I knew he was feeling better tonight as he sat at my feet with a "Are you gonna eat all of that?" look on his face as I ate dinner.
