When you say "obvious English accent" are you referring to the Brits by any chance?

Cause if you're referring to us 'yanks' I can't say I've heard any one particular voice inflection that I would call an accent.

Obvious English accent while speaking French, that is. And yes, you guys have one, as do Canadians, as do Brits. Anyone who has English as their first language has an English accent when they speak French, unless they learned the language before the age of 10-or-so years old.

I tried to impersonate an Ontarian speaking French. It's much, much more credible than a British or an American, considering we're operating in a suburb of Québec City. And shitloads easier for me, since I've known and talked to a few of them.
