First impressions and body language in communication

Hahaha! I enjoyed the joke, even though I was absolutely certain somebody would make it.

Hmm, that's one shitty situation you were in...Mine is not that bad, I mean, those people rarely are directly related to me, they're linked through other people...but first-hand friends? Whoa. Wouldn't have wanted to be in your shoes back then.

I don't think this would happen to me at the moment, since I have a relatively small circle of friends. Friends, here, being real, serious longtime friends, guys or girls I consider like brothers or sisters. I bet this happened to you with "new" friends, right? People you've known for less than a year or two...cuz otherwise, man, it must've screwed you up real bad!

Sort of. Actually, I should clarify a bit, since the cases were somewhat different. The first one was an online friend, and I'm not sure for how long I knew her - probably less than two years though, yeah. Actually she didn't exactly hate me, but there was some topics that I thought were cool and that we talked about a bunch and she acted real interested in them, but later on I heard that she thought they were pretty much boring as hell. I never really figured out why she just didn't tell me outright that she didn't care for those topics ( ... )
