crappy United

So I've decided that I don't like United. I know Kevin always likes to fly them, but I really liked flying on Southwest. Sure, there are no miles to earn, and no first class to get bumped up into. Southwest is overall a better airline than any of the more traditional carriers. Whenever possible I choose them and a direct flight over the 'preferred carriers' at my company. And most of the time the fares are cheaper than the 'preferred carriers'.

And if you dislike Untied now, just wait. Since emerging from bankruptcy the CEO has talked about spinning off the Frequent Flier program to be another company, outsourcing maintenance, and one that every passenger will resent: paying extra to get priority treatment for your luggage (i.e. it gets off the plane first)

I also liked their frequent flier program, because I could use the points to fly anywhere United flies. So I currently have enough points for one free ticket to NZ on Air New Zealand (they're partenered with United ( ... )
