042: Christmas [Action]

Dec 25, 2010 01:23

[It's that time of year again.  You know the one.  Christmas.  On Christmas Eve, Adell will have gone around to a lot of homes or other places with gifts he got for people.  They're all wrapped, actually rather well this year.  But he'll make sure to instruct people not to open their gifts until the morning of the 25th.  For people that live ( Read more... )

*Is that Meiling running around with her new belt and gloves on? She's also lifting up household appliances to test out her newfound strength. You should probably be glad she isn't breaking anything right now.*

[Oh, he is. And he's endlessly entertained to boot.]

Meiling! Looks like you're having fun.

Meiling! Be careful! Sakuya or Mom might get mad at you if something happens to that!

[This is a coat. This is a coat that Koakuma is presently insisting on wearing indoors.

Silly girl, you're supposed to wear it outside.]

-But it does make you extremely warm to snuggle up to, which Patchy is doing.-

[I'm okay with this. And might be putting that new plushie on your head.]

[And this is an Adell, smiling brightly watching the two of them. This has been a really good day.]

[Later on in the day, there's a package left on the doorstep of House 44 addressed "To Adell". Inside, he'll find both a letter and a few new ties in varying colors, although there are two red ones. (She's paid attention, you know.) The letter reads:]

Dear Adell,

Thank you so much for the gift. I'm sure I'll be getting quite a bit of use out of it.

I'm so glad Miss Flandre is feeling better now. Please, if you ever need my help for anything else, don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always happy to help.

[...oh, Adell. You have no idea how. Freaking. Cool this is. She'll probably stop on by later to drop off her own gift, but in the meantime she'll leave a short message via the journal.]

Adell:

Thank you so, so much for the gifts. I promise to take good care of the penguin and the [......] dragon. [Is that what it is?] As for the laser blade, I already tried it out a bit and it's so neat! Really, thank you. You didn't have to do all of this for me.

-Noel

[She will get you that present soon enough... when I figure out what it is.]

[Aww. That warms him to the core. He's so glad she liked those things.]

You're welcome, Noel. And maybe I didn't have to. But I wanted to. I'm just happy you really like it all. Merry Christmas, Noel!

[Flandre has no idea what these little plastic blocks are but they snap together and don't fall down when knocked over, turned upside-down or picked up. This is awesome.

She's planted herself on the living room floor, just building simple walls for now and babbling to herself. She does seem to favor the red ones, though. The green and blue ones are almost exclusively scattered about, though one or two has been incorporated into this tiny wall.]

[Favoring the red ones isn't a surprise to him, given this family. But he's just sitting back and watching as the wall takes shape. Eventually he'll speak up.]

Havin' fun there, Flandre?

[She is a Scarlet, after all. And a vampire. Red is very pretty to her for obvious reasons.

Flandre looks up at Adell, wings puffed out and happy. She's run out of red Legos, but doesn't seem to mind very much. Her voice is quite cheerful.]

Yes! These blocks don't fall apart even though they're small.

[They're also at least moderately durable and none have that particular pale, stretched plastic look yet.]

I hoped you'd like those. You can build them into all kinds of different things too!
