016 A Series of Unfortunate(?) Events [Action]

[It's a good morning in Luceti today, and Adell is up, dressed, and ready for another day.  Full of training and sparring and just in general goofing off.  This is going to be a good day, he can feel it.   He throws on his coat and prepares to leave.]

[So, after an embarrassing fall from her dramatic perch on a tree, magical girl Fenimore has decided to train in dramatically posing while balancing on an icy branch.

If he goes out in the woods today, Adell might come across her as she makes a sweeping gesture outwards with her right hand, shouting at thin air:] With blessings in the right hand, Magical Fenimore! [She wobbles precariously as she makes the wild gesture.]

Oh, right. Norma, wasn't it? I'm sorry if I scared you. It's just... not everything was clear then.

"What sort of wild acts has Adell been doing with the women of Luceti?! This must be investigated further! Maybe I should question some of them?

... I'm not sure if I want to."]

[ffffff "Norma." She'll correct him eventually.]

No, it's--I was scared at the time, but it was good that...yeah. ["that you told me to return it to Charlotte or else I wouldn't have known who it was."] I got the clothes back later.

That's good. I'm sorry everything happened that way. Have you been doing okay?

Yeah. Well, as much as you could expect, considering.

All this does take a lot of getting used to. But there's the occasional nice thing about it.

[xelhes]

Yeah. It's strangely mundane for a place with people from...different worlds. [She's still not used to talking about people being from multiple worlds.]

Well, in some ways it's better that it's mundane. But I wouldn't mind some more stuff to do around here aside from just constantly training...

I'm definitely not complaining.

Well, I meant for... like a new place to relax. ...Or electricity. That'd be good too.

[xelhes]

Elect-ricity? ...You mean those cam-ra and raidy-o things?

[vulcanblazer]

Sorta. Electricity is a source of power, which can be used to have stuff like... lights that are on all the time. Those kinds of lights beat the hell out of candles or torches any day. You can power all sorts of stuff with it.

Cameras and radios are usually powered with batteries, which work on a very similar idea. The batteries act as a storage unit for power so the things can function at will.

[...Much of that went over her head, but it's about as good as she's going to get. (She's still not sure how beating on cameras and radios is the same as electricity, but she's pretty sure she's got that wrong somehow.)]

I see. So there's a lot of it where you come from?

Yup, it's a common thing where I am. It can be used to heat and cool houses, provide light, and all sorts of stuff. Kinda weird to be without it, but I've adjusted.

[xelhes]

[She looks surprised that such unrelated things can be done with electricity, and also a little impressed.] Huh. Too bad they don't have any of this stuff here.
