[Currently, the event is going on in full force, and Adell knows well and good he's affected by it. But what he doesn't know is that thought bubbles can appear above your head even while you sleep. Now, normally this would be a non-issue considering he normally doesn't nap and has his own room. But a problem occurs; last night, he didn't get

Adell looks about ready to have the upper hand and rout the mooks nearby, when suddenly another wave appears from behind! The Soaring Helldam spins around to see this, then a closeup of Adell's face as he gets one of his very determined expressions on. And a loud shout: "Bring it! You'll never stop me!"
...But before the wave of mooks can engage him, waves of white and pink bolts of energy cut through the enemy and cause them all to shut down! Adell's expression changes to one of confusion... what could have caused that?]

[A picture of a mech appears in her own thought bubble, constantly changing colors (pink, white, and blue) and getting add-ons put on and removed from it to make it look cooler.]

In the distance, another mobile suit can be seen hovering, painted in white, blue, and faint gold. Wielding a large, faint golden staff with a massive cerulean orb at its head, it was once pointing at the group below. Not only that, it appears to have a series of cannons jutting out of its back and aiming forward, but those quickly fold back into a neutral position, revealing their true normal shape: angel wings.
...The camera quickly zooms toward it, entering its cockpit, and giving Flonne a spitting image of herself. She'll giggle, then smile before speaking. "Looked like you could use some help, Adell!"]

Just...
Whoa, wait, what's this.
You know, maaaaybe Noel will stick around a while longer.]

"Unidentified suit, this is Lieutenant Vermillion of the HSDF. You have violated our airspace. Power down all non essential systems and disarm immediately or you will be fired upon ( ... )

It's probably going to look really weird if Adell wakes up to see Noel watching him intently, but she's actually getting kind of... mesmerized by the dream. GO ON, ADELL. TELL US MORE.]

"Command, this is Lieutenant Vermillion. Invasion immient! Scramble all squads and prepare for battle! Transmitting IFF data for allied mobile suits. Bolverk Helldam, engaging!"
With that, Noel's mobile suit fires up its thrusters and streaks toward the enemy. Adell, not wanting to be left behind, follows not far behind. But before they both can reach close range, Noel's Bolverk Helldam slows to a cruising speed, and then begins to fly sideways... as the two beam pistols' barrels begin to glow...
What follows is a torrent of guns-akimbo azure laser fire into the incoming horde of enemies. The bullet storm the Bolverk Helldam unleashes is a feast for the eyes, though there are enough foes that they begin advancing on the two and returning fire...]

A napping Adell on the couch isn't something she often sees and the dream bubble over his head makes her roll her eyes.]
[Even in his dreams... Always my oddball of a son.]

But of course, who else does he run into on the way? The dream version of his Mom. ...Who honestly doesn't look too much different, compared to Adell, who's added at least a flight jacket to his look. ...Yes, she still has the third eye. And no, no one really thinks that's weird here.
"Well... you're back earlier than I expected." Mom quips, probably in that knowing tone Adell has heard so much. ...Of course, even if the dialogue is silent, the expression on her face says it all.
Adell folds his arms over his chest and returns her expression with a half-glare. "I really hope you didn't think I was going to lose in the second round of this tournament."]

Mom's going to humor herself now, looking down from her spot with her hands on her hips, eyebrows raised.
This should be good.]
[Certainly in-character, he gets points for that.]

[Mom just gives him a look like he's an idiot.
"Hell itself could open up in the middle of the tournament and it wouldn't deter you from winning. The second round is nothing." She puts her hands to her hips. "Honestly, I don't care even if you lose the tournament, Adell. You being a Defender of Earth would just encourage you to bring home more freaks."
Adell's expression quickly changes to exasperation. "We've been over that."
"...But I know that title is something you want. And I know you won't let anything stand in your way," Mom sighs, her three eyes closing all at once. "...But it's not the most important thing in the world." Adell doesn't respond, but instead watches his Mom quietly and intently. "...Adell, I want you to make me a promise."
"Huh?"
"Promise me. That no matter what happens, that you will come home alive."]

Adell has her by the wrist and both look as though they're running from something. Unfortunately, this ballroom is a dead-end. Nevertheless, they run deeper into the room, out onto the dance floor. Adell then turns and stands in front of her like a human shield. Filtering into the room after them are a bunch of robotic cyborg soldiers with glowing red eyes.
These robotic soldiers menacingly draw closer, and Adell takes a stance ready to fight, and his fists ignite into flames...]

What follows are several more attacks directed at these machines. Adell manages to wreck many of them, but he's struck back several times himself. From one particular blow, he skids back, his lip bloodied. Unknown to him, however, is the robot who flanked over toward the side, heading toward Charlotte quickly.
"...Adell!!"
He spins around to see the robot draw nearer to her... but before he can lunge to attack, the loud roar of an engine pierces the otherwise quiet room. In an instant, a motorcycle and a black-clad rider breaks through the massive ballroom window, sending shards of glass everywhere...
And when the rider enters the ballroom proper, she pulls her bike into a wheelie, as it collides with the robot, literally punching it in the face ( ... )
