Made onion rolls (the burned stripes being the onions) and cookies with fruit syrup icing today.

Normal shortcrust ... 200 g flour, 100 g brown sugar, 75 g butter, 1 egg ... bakes about 15 minutes. And fruit syrup and icing sugar to smear on.

Oh and spices, vanilla, cinnamon, etc.
