Hilariously I JUST checked my e-mail and got my placement. It's Kameoka city in the Kyoto prefecture!

Good luck, I've always felt really guilty at the prospect of quitting a job after only a handful of weeks, so I feel your pain. But JET! That's awesome.

Hahaha yeah, I am sort of amazed at my luck.

I am mostly assuaging my guilt by writing up the seeds of a training manual that they can hopefully use to train my replacement. I also fully intend to explain to them just how much of an out of the blue thing this is.

it's not that long of a trip if you take the shinkansen!
