You will find your niche, because you are brave and courageous! UP GRYFFINDOR and all that!

However, I suspect you may be living in a zombie movie. Just saying. Arm yourself accordingly.

I will buy a baseball bat at my earliest convenience, rest assured.

"The hamster looks almost hopefully up at you."

>Take care of the hamster?
>>Of course!
>>Hell no.
>>Maybe later... rather busy right now. <--

You decided not to buy the hamster today. However, it will be there at your next visit.

"The hamster looks a bit downtrodden..."

((why do I even do this to myself.))

. . . am I going to forge a social link with the hamster?

Well that depends. Do you WANT the True Ending?

(If so, get that hamster and bond. Bond until your Social Link skyrockets.)

You were not kidding about that pillow. IT LOOKS SO SNUGGLY. I want to cuddle it.

Good luck with the continued settling in!

I almost want to get a union jack blanket to throw over the couch that the pillow lives on. It would be so perfect.

Today's going a lot better! I've just got to look at this as an opportunity to make new friends and get a bit better at keeping up with everyone else.

I miss those variety shows! They were such the best. I think I learned more Japanese from watching TV all the time than I did anywhere else (it was like the movie Splash, except I wasn't a mermaid).

As for teaching - I have no tips for elementary ed. I guess just make sure to give kids ample time to think and come up with an answer, even if it feels like they totally don't know and are just waiting for you to tell them. Inquiry! Although... not sure how accommodating the Japanese school system would be to that method. Seems to be a lot of memorize and repeat there...
