I agree that you absolutely have to enjoy your work. I have a girlfriend who has been unemployed for a couple of months and she's miserable. I was laid off about the same time and I took that as an opportunity to do my quilting thing. It's all in the perspective.

i completely agree. its amazing how some of us will work 50, 60, 70 hours a week. heck, my mother used to work 80-90 hours a week. some of us dont have much of a choice, like my mother...but it certainly makes those days off or "free time" moments that much more crucial. many of my friends go to bars while i really prefer having a conversation or going out and doing something like visiting a farm and picking some apples. people with my mindset are far and few in between where i live.

i struggle with being productive and doing meaningful things everyday. I try really hard. Sometimes i'm successful and sometimes i'm not. I really want to be that person that accomplishes more before 9am than what others accomplish in a whole day. The struggle to be a positive person is also in progress...boy is it hard. I appreciate your soap box...you should pull it out more often.

"people with my mindset are far and few in between where i live."

It's the same here, and probably everywhere.

"I try really hard."

And that's all anyone can expect from you. And all you should expect of yourself.

"The struggle to be a positive person is also in progress...boy is it hard."

In the end, it will be very much worth it.
