I did it! I am very excited.

For the past several months, I have been working behind the scenes to get The Wall That Heals, a traveling Vietnam Wall memorial, to come to Taylor. Yesterday, I received an e-mail letting me know they’d like to be in our town in March. We have set the date for March 25 - 28, 2010. It will arrive on March 24 for set up ( Read more... )

Thanks. I'm pretty excited about it.

Hey, check the local paper in the next few days for an article I wrote that will be appearing. I'll let you know when I see it.

totally let me know and I'll go hunt one down! I was reading that community paper we get monthly in the mail and was really interested in the article about towns becoming "film friendly". I'm assuming we've got someone in town who went through the class and stuff right?

are you doing anything for all the xmas faire/lighting stuff we're having on the 5th? I was thinking of going and checking it out but kind of hate to go alone.

kind of random....but if you ever need someone to go with you to stuff(and you think they wouldn't look at me like a total alien) I do clean up really well and would be happy to go with.

I'm working the Xmas parade on the 5th. I'll be the one organizing all the floats and stuff. Great fun. I already have made sure that Santa's float is good to go with all new tires and a complete inspection.

Don't even get me started on the lights. It's been a grand fiasco behind the scenes. Next time we chat, I'll you all about that soap opera!

On the "film friendly" thing...ummm...I dunno! I assume the paper you're referring to is the Community Impact?

Yeah, it's going to be great. I spoke with our mayor pro tem today and she was very happy. Getting all the stuff lined up by the city should work out relatively easily.
