Drawing My Story

I don’t know why, but I’m always amazed each year at about this time at how many birds there are still out here flying around. I mean, it’s been cold, yet they are still here. In the morning, I walk outside and am greeted by their singing. It’s really fascinating to me. How do they manage to survive? We have had a number of freezing days here.

ok I really love the drawing analogy. it totally hits close to home with me because I'm always way too cautious about things because I'm afraid of screwing them up. I'm especially that way in my art. I'm going to keep reminding myself that there are lots of pretty pictures in the book too.

I love what you have said on choices, joy, living your life your way - all of it, every little thing. On "drawing without an eraser", how true is this , yes 100%. Completely inspirational. Thanks Jim ....:)

It's funny that you mentioned the birds... Wesley and I were driving through town during the most recent snow storm. It's was practically a blizzard and we saw two birds fly across the highway as the snow was coming down. An odd sight as you don't usually see birds flying in a snow storm. We both commented on how unusual it was and wondered where they were going.

That balance between peace and war in our lives is certainly a precarious one and a battle that I definitely fight. I try not to regret those messy pages, but I always end up feeling that I could have done better. I don't want anyone to see those ugly pages, but as you said that is part of life. And we all have them. Your perspective is enlightening.
