Wrongfully Accused - Here We Go Again!

Some time back on this LJ, I had mentioned how in my past I’d often been falsely accused of many things in my life. Unfortunately, this is all happening again. Allow me to try to share what’s going on in my little world right now…

I too can't stand gossip, and don't understand those who do. I refuse to engage in any conversation in which someone is being discussed in a bad way.

That really sucks. I was falsely accused of stealing by my grandmother when I was 10 years old and it hurt me very deeply so I can relate somewhat to what you're going through.

If it was me, I'd go right to the people who are doing the gossiping and confront them perhaps bringing along the woman in question and set the record straight.

I have contacted one of the family members. We spoke briefly. She called back today, but I was too busy. I haven't called her back yet.

That's just wrong. It always amazes me how some people just enjoy stirring up shit. I would just completely ignore it, if I were you. Don't feed into the bullshit by even attempting to defend yourself. You know the truth, and this woman knows the truth and if she and her husband have a strong relationship, he'll know the truth as well. That's all that matters. Don't change the way you are for anyone.

It's really her husband with whom I need to speak. Not sure how that will work out.
