Well, I was hoping that my first post of the year - hell, my first post in forever - would be more lighthearted. Unfortunately, it's not, but it's perhaps the most important post I'll make. Last year, my beautiful cousin, barely into her thirties, was diagnosed with cancer. Last week, we were told it's terminal. The entire family is heartbroken -

Geh, it's just such an awful situation. And I kinda feel like I'm in limbo, because we're in Scotland and she's in Ireland and the whole thing feels a little unreal, like it should be happening to some other family. *sigh* Anyway, I know you've had your own shit to deal with, and I'm sorry I haven't been around for that. I went through something similar a couple of years ago and I know how demeaning a bad situation at work can be, so feel free to use me as a wailing wall whenever things get really crap, if you like. *hugs*
