For years Prince Derek thought that the Worst Day of his life, the day that was responsible for all of his other bad days in his life, was the day he met Princess Odette. For years, he was certain that that was it and nothing else could take it's place. Nothing could be worse than that!
For years, he was wrong.
In the beginning, the young Prince and Princess had had their differences. This, he was certain, was due to their parents utter devotion to seeing the two of them together, an offical joint bond between the two kingdoms. He was also certain that each and every minute of each and every day that he was forced into her presence was the absolute worst of his life. Probably the worst of her's, as well, he could imagine now in fond bemusement.
And still, now he knew he was wrong.
As Odette walked down the isle this day, their Wedding Day, Prince Derek was certain that the Worst Day, the one ultimately responsible for all of his "bad days" in life, was perhaps the best thing to ever happen. Because of that day, he was here. He was here and so was Odette and in a few simple moments, the two were to be wed.
How could any thing responsible for such wonderful feelings be considered the worst?
