Well, the client looked over my work and said that the guide was very good. So all the work I put in went noticed for a few moments and brought back that feeling of worth again. I guess my boss saw the value of my work as well.

You probably figured it out already, but something in you associates being acknoweldged with a good feeling. Compliments sure go a long way with you, then. But, yeah, the dark side of that is not getting them probably makes you pretty irritable. What would happen if you just congratulated yourself every time you got something done?

I never congratulate myself, because I never feel the work I do is even adequate enough.

Like when I wrote a part of a novel for school, we only needed 6 pages. I wrote 16. Yet I didn't think I was going to get the A+ for my paper and this was essentially our final exam. I also didn't think it was that good even though I put in all that effort.

Nothing in my mind in regards to my own work is ever good enough. I know I suck at a lot of things, so I tend to think I suck at everything I do.

... What? ...

I am speaking the truth about how I feel. I know it sucks that I think and feel that way, but I can't deny that I do.
