Apparently, if you take a certain drug (when I see the ad again, I will post) for R.L.S, you should contact your doctor if you feel increased gambling or sexual urges; other side effects include nausea.

oh yeah! i heard about that shit. in a word, it basically increases your impulsivity, Id, whathaveyou.

a friend of mine was talking about that, and was like- "i wonder what would happen if you mixed that with ambien and managed to get both of the side effects...?"

Yeah, my mom gets it all the time. I do also sometimes. My mom says that Quinine (which is in tonic water) helps her a lot. And she's had this problem since before "RLS" had a name.

My dad's neurologist suggested he try Requip. My dad was like, "Wait, isn't that for Restless Leg Syndrome?" And the neurologist was like, "Yeah, well...I mean, it's just dopamine." Yeah--expensive designer brand name dopamine. Just another way the pharmaceutical companies are trying to rip people off.

It's a different one than requip. But...watch your dad and make sure that he doesn't have increased gambling urges.

He opted to eat half a cup of fava beans a day instead. Apparently, they do the same thing...minus the compulsion to gamble.
