hi! i am amy and i am going to be a freshmen at vanguard starting next month. i am excited expect that i don't get to live on campus...for the first semester anyway. i know nobody except a girl from my high school who is going to be a senior. also i go to rock harbor (which i think a lot of people from vanguard go to) an amazing church like five

Welcome! Do you have your classes already? Make sure you take New Testament Survey from Jerry Camery-Hoggatt. If you're deciding between Sociology and Anthropology, I'd suggest Anthro with Vince Gill.

I just posted a rundown of some of my favorite profs and why I like them. Hopefully it'll be of help to you.

If you can, I'd suggest trying to get in on some of the summer mission trips. They're tons of fun.

Disneyland is really close, so getting a yearly pass is an amazing thing, plus they have discounts for people in the So Cal area. There is a great restaurant right by the off campus apartments called East West Cafe that is amazing. Best Kung Pao Tofu you can get. It's seriously amazing.

I actually live in Long Beach (about 20 minutes from campus) so I am pretty familiar with the area and already have a Disneyland pass. But thank you for all your advice!
