Nick's Birthday.

AWESOME night.

Plans were originally to see Nick in the evening after the Giants' game, which he was planning on watching at home. I was on the way to see Sheena when Nick gave me a call and said considering how late the game would be ending, he wanted to have an early dinner with us instead; we chill, he watches game, we're not out too late, works out well. So, I get to Brooklyn, stay for an hour and a halfish, and make my way back home (short stay long trip meh, alwell). Give Brad and Sam a head up, but find out sadly Brad can't make it early because of stuff to do with his family (his sister was over). This was to keep him occupied for a LONG while it would seem, for Nick even offered to wait for Brad but it was no go.

So, after home+shower+fanciful prance, Nick, Sam and I end up in Cheesecake factory. Whilst waiting for a table we grab a few drinks at the bar, a few delicious and pansy drinks, ftw. Typhoon punch for Nick, Blue moon (f.u) for Sam and Mojito for myself. We sit down, gorge on food and drinks merrily to the point of nausea, argue over the legality of girls at an adjacent table (mistaking 2 mothers for underage girls) then head over to Nick's pizzeria briefly, where we greet his bro Joe + others, and incoherently accept the task of a single delivery order to a nearby location. Boo at not having room in mah tummy for Nick's pizza.

Shortly thereafter, we end up at my house. Wii tennis, Warioware, viral vids, much fun. Stay in for a few hours, and eventually decide to head out. Nick requests gossip (hm.), but that was closed, so he directed us over to a local sports pub for us to chill at. We walk and look up at the game: (overtime? don't recall, I'll say it is, yes), tie score, Packers on offense. As we glance upward toward the multitude of televisions, the Giants INTERCEPT A PASS and a booming hurray echoes through the bar. We walk over to the bar, stand for a moment as Nick orders some drinks, and 3 stools open up. Wo0t, we take a seat, order a round of [pansy] soco lime shots and a pitcher of blue moon. Bartender takes a shot with us, and gives us some very nice chilled glasses for our blue moon. Looking up at the tv again, the Giants successfully kick a field goal and WIN THE GAME?!? A deafening cacophony filled the bar and people were jumped and hugging and all. I don't follow sports at all, but I know enough to take note that what I saw was absurd. We just so happened to wander and have the only portion of the game we watch be the part that will be remembered, very nice. We chill for a bit as the bartender converses with us a bit, and places down some cups for more drinks. Okay! Another round of shots (and another pitcher of blue moon?) later, and we're off in a merry haze.

We drive down 110 a bit and stop by Spartan diner for something to eat. Walk in, make a ruckus, sit down. Nick heckles a few guys next to us, and we decide to bounce because we realize none of us are actually hungry. We once again journey down 110, and decide we're hungry heh, so we drive into Burger King. Order up a few random items, have the worker audaciously call us maricons ('fags'), and pull into the parking lot hoping none of our food was spit/ejaculated into (but I jest! Spanish guy was cool). Few moments later we see a group of 5 or 6 high school kids wander into the parking lot and up to the drive through line (of 3 cars, mighty long for the night/hour/location) on foot (memories). Realizing their efforts will be for naught alone, we drive over and beckon them to my car. Nick hops out, we all talk for a bit, and we decide to give it a try with some of us on foot first:

Realizing its really fucking cold, we call a few of these kids over to the car so they can warm up, while Nick + kid in white shirt place an order at the sign. But no go, it would seem, so we pull up in the car and wait till its our turn in line. As we line up with the speaker, the guy announces, "Sorry, we're closed now." WTF? We argue for a bit and he shuts off the sign, so we pull up to the window, converse a bit, and convince him to make us some food. Few minutes later, food comes out the window, one of the kids' mothers arrive, and we part ways.

We drive over to Nicks house to unwind, recounting the events of the night while looking through some dvds. Nick passes out, I drop off Sam, and head to bed.

Very fun night. Reminiscent of times long past. Was also fun to help out the random kids; I can recall a few similar situations in the past, and I know we made their night. I r happy.

Now off to get some tea, because I'm a pussy and cold + drinking = I feel ill.
