I am not kidding at all when I say this, but there *was* only one YIELD sign in the area. It's since been removed.

Why?

Nobody yields.

In southeast Florida traffic, you just have to take spots in the flow... by force. I'm not even kidding here.

The closest thing we have to YIELD signs anywhere are a MERGE, which means "surprise ... you have about 6 seconds to force yourself into a space in the next lane, or get stuck until you wither and die of old age."

Yeah... I'm very used to the sound of the engine running at quite high RPMs now. :P

I've seen the over/under thing done a few places, mainly up in Broward County. It does speed up through traffic at major intersections... but it creates dangerous weird blind ramps and confusing approaches, not to mention blocking all access to whatever may have at one time been constructed next to the roadway that goes up and over.. unless you build a frontage road... which makes it even more... WHARRGARBL

That's it, we just need to get people back onto their feet and onto mass transit. :P
