There are some people you can learn everything about through their writing. With Chew, you learn the universe. His writing, poetic, honest, often times heart breaking, is not only exquisite, but opens the doors on an entire life lived in a world half cast in shadow, half cast in sunlight. I wish he would learn to hang out in the sun a little more
