Indeed, Cas could be denying it's broken because he doesn't want to admit HE'S broken. Just like he had denied it earlier, when Crowley said "you're losing it" and "yeah, you're the very picture of mental health". He didn't want to admit he's so strained and so on edge, that he's going mad! :O

I couldn't resist that one, it came to me and I just had to do it. It's like the entire episode Cas is crying out to someone to notice what he's doing and help him, stop him, but no one understands. He's so sad and.... guh!
