It's funny. I used to complain that I only posted in LJ when I'm down... these days I seem to post more when I'm happy :p The last few days I've been pretty cruddy, but today I'm feeling a lot more upbeat, and thus feel like posting

i can't get the damn thing to play nice with my wireless network! I suspect it's a WEP problem, every bloody platform seems to have a different ascii <-> hex implementation, and the Wii doesn't seem to support hex input.

I may end up having to rejig my whole network just to get the Wii to work, bleh :p

Well... Dang! Mine's 128-bit hex, and didn't have a problem, even though getting my DS online was an absolute bitch, and they basically have the same system. You'll figure it out! :)

Mine won't be online after this week for a while anyway, with relocating again.. Hopefully I won't have to contact the ombudsman this time :P.

You would NOT believe how much effort I had to go through to get the Wii online... essentially from a network perspective it's very broken (I wont bore you with details, but after doing packet dumps I found the issue) and I've only managed to get it online by borrowing someone else's modem, and then setting up a proxy server...

Oh im not particularly unhappy with it, I just like changing things to see what they look like :) it was more stupidity in using a razor to clean it up anyway :P
