Finally made it! Sorry again for my tardiness. ;;

[Young Jane, all dressed up in her Christmas dress with matching headband and freshly polished black shoes, is in complete awe herself. She hadn't imagined Miss Lottie's estate being this extravagant. Upon arriving, her nerves get the better of her and she slips off to an empty area near a fountain to check her appearance. She didn't want to look a fool amongst all these classy people, after all.

A short time later she rejoins the crowd, and is ever so relieved to spot her canine companion again.]

Dug! Oh Dug! [Short, little awkward jog over to him.] There you are, boy. I... I'm sorry I disappeared. I'm just.. dreadfully nervous. Goodness, this place is so enormous. And so fancy.

And now I apologise for my tardiness 8D

[Dug had wondered where Jane had gotten to and wags his tail happily when he hears her calling him]

Do not be nervous, Jane! We are together and we will have oh so much fun!

[Dug looks around, smiling in his little doggy way - oh boy, a real ball! and he's with his new friend! What a lucky dog he is!]

What do you want to do first, Jane?

We shall be tardy together then. 8D

I don't know. I've never gone to a party like this before...

[Self-conscious Jane is self-conscious.]

Um... the Christmas tree certainly looks pretty. Why don't we go see it?
But p-please stay close to me, boy. Please?

[Dug looks over at the Christmas tree suspiciously - there could be squirrels hiding in there, after all. After sniffing in the general direction of the tree and confirming the lack of squirrel, he nods.]

Ok, let us go and see the tree!

Yes, I will be a good dog and not run away, Jane. I want to be with you!

[That gets a small smile out of her.]

Thank you, Dug. You're a very good dog.

[Once they're standing before the decorated tree, Jane's smile grows wider as she admires how truly beautiful it is, glimmering with all of its decorations.]

Oh... isn't it just lovely?

[He spins in circles, evidently very pleased at Jane's words.]

It is very nice. Let us go and see it, Jane! Come on!
