[Action] Wishes she had a sleeping Dug icon :Cretriever_dugDecember 18 2011, 08:30:19 UTC
[Don't mind, Dug. He's just taking a nap in his basket.. again. It's tiring planning all these tracking 101 lessons when you're a dog. In between that and tracking squirrels, Dug is a very busy pup.
But, if Jane tries the door, she'll find it open. Come on in, but wake him up gently, ok? And that noise? It's just Dug snoring!]
[action] Aw, I'll try searching for one for you.very_practicalDecember 18 2011, 21:53:19 UTC
[She can hear his snoring from the hall. She carefully opens the door nice and slowly, and has to smile when she sees him all curled up asleep. A little "Aw," escapes her lips. He's just so darn cute.
She kneels down beside the basket and pets his head, thinking that perhaps it'd be best for her to come back later and let him sleep for now.]
[In his dream, the squirrel has suddenly grown bigger and is.. scratching his belly - What kind of dream is this? Dug isn't entirely sure he likes this dream anymore!
Slowly, as he begins to wake up, the squirrel is replaced by a familiar person - Jane! It only takes him a few moments to realise that he has, in fact, woken up and that Jane isn't a dream - she's really here!
He starts panting happily, his tail beating against the side of his basket as he looks up at his friend sleepily]
No, no. I'm all right. [Light chuckle.] And I've eaten today, no need to worry.
I'm just a bit worried about Miss Charlotte's ball. It's a long way's away, and I.. don't even have anyone to go with. I'll feel terribly awkward there alone.
I asked Miss Charlotte and, oh boy, she is going to let me come! I told her I would be a very good dog and she said yes! I am very excited! Please say you will come too!
[She looks quite surprised, and her surprise quickly shifts to worry.]
Oh my, you are, Dug? All by yourself? Will your owner take you... b-because surely you can't travel there alone?
[The image of the poor, helpless dog traveling so far, unattended and with no one taking care of him, makes her lip quiver. The puppy dog eyes certainly don't make her feel any less worried for him.]
[Well. There was no way she could refuse now. A look of determination spreads on her face as she now becomes quite resolute.]
I most certainly will go with you, Dug. I can't have you riding on the tram and on the boat by yourself! Goodness no... not to worry, I'll take care of you.
[Dug nods, panting away happily - He wasn't too sure why Jane seemed so worried - as far as Dug knew, the Mist had retreated. They would be safe to leave the Academy now, surely?]
Thank you, Jane, oh thank you!
We will travel together and have so much fun, oh yes!

Looks like Dug is having another one of his Squirrel-chasing dreams - he growls a little in his sleep, the rodent must be proving difficult to catch!]

I wonder what you're dreaming about, boy.

Hi there, Jane! I am very happy to see you!

Oh! Hello Dug. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.

It is ok Jane. I am not annoyed. I am just so happy you are here to see me. I was hoping we could talk soon!
I wanted to ask you if heard about Miss Charlotte's Winter Ball?

I'm not certain if I'll be going. [Bit of a frown as she thinks about missing out on it.]

What is wrong, Jane? You seem upset. Did you forget to eat today? I always get upset when I forget to eat.

But Jane, that is what I wanted to talk to you about!
I was hoping that we could go together! Everyone else is going on a thing called a tram and then a boat. I think we can too!
