My continual searching of the humane society's website has finally paid off in the form of knowledge. Why? Well, have you ever heard of degus? (ok, now if everybody but me knows lots of random information about them, I will feel dumb) I sort of have a vague memory of hearing the term in the past, but I never really knew anything about them at

I guess I must have, because the word sounds familiar. However, before I read the rest of the post, I thought it was some Final Fantasy monster or something.

I wouldn't put it over on FF not to have turned them into some sort of evil monster *grins* They look really cute and funny, though. Long tail with fur like gerbils, head that sort of resembles the guinea pig, standard rodent body. And they get big like rat! So, so highly amused!
