I've had a very physical day. I got home at 10:30 this morning (after having gone to bed after two and woken up around 8:30) and called T. Is that a bad wow or a good wow?

Just asking because, well, there were hundreds of them, and the roots would have eventually dug up the building, and 150sqft is really not enough room for several hundred maple trees, and it's not like we don't have enough of them in Quebec anyway, and there *are* already lots of adult trees on the block (including one in my front yard)

wow, you stayed up until ten to post? i was definitely in bed by 9:30. this is a good, impressed wow. also, don't feel bad about digging up trees. sometimes, it has to be done. just remember to plant one on tu-b'shvat (i suck at spelling hebrew words in english). and if the messiah comes, finish planting your tree before you run off to meet him/her.

When is that holiday anyway? As I recall it's in the middle of winter here, so planting a tree is sort of unreasonable.

hm. i don't actually know when it is. maybe you should just make sure to plant one tree a year whenever is the best time for planting canadian trees. then you'll be safe.
