i got way too excited about my wii. i started dreaming about it before it was released. then i went to the fucking midnight launch, dead tired, standing in the middle of toy-r-us at 1am on a hot summer night with no fucking air con with fucking nerds making shit jokes and susan wishing she was dead. pretty sure it's the second geekiest thing i've done. (installing linux on my ipod tops the list)
